Maotai or Moutai is a brand of baijiu, a distilled Chinese liquor (spirit), made in the town of Maotai in China's Guizhou province. Produced by the state-owned Kweichow Moutai Company, the beverage is distilled from fermented sorghum and now comes in several different varieties. Special limited edition bottle made of the finest Chinese porcelain.This edition honors Li Bai (701-762) regarded as one of the greatest and most prolific poets of the Tang dynasty.
Nose : Immediate bouquet of cereal flakes, roasted chestnuts with nutmeg emerges, leaving a salty finish and aromas of toasted rice. The alcohol is never aggressive on the nose.
Taste : Very delicate, it is a mixture of corn flakes and soy sauce with savory vegetables.
